Stitch of
the Week
Since the store is closed both Friday and
Saturday let's all practice our firecracker stitches.
Tip
Of the Week
Shadows are not shiny.
Remember this when trying to achieve realism in your piece and use a
matte type thread.
The Finish Line
Tradition Meets Fanciful
Our highly creative customer, Jane Ann
Wise had great finishing results with her fanciful mermaids. On
the left, a needlepoint belt trimmed with a ruffle is wrapping a softly
gathered pillow. On the right, Jane Ann chose traditional fabric
and added beading in the rouched edge to give her gal a bit of pizzazz.
We think both pillows are a great example of thinking outside the box!

Julia Tafur's just finished
cardinal ornament arrived with just the right
embellishment to set off her terrific stitch work |

Lisa Crespo's adorable
bunny box is finished to the same perfection as the stitching
she did on each of the 5 sides. |
